Dulwich Hill

Dulwich Hill is named after the area of Dulwich in London and is found approximately 9km south west of Sydney’s CBD.

Dulwich Hill train station is located at the southern end of the suburb and is surrounded by a small number of shops on Wardell Road. The main shopping area is along the intersection between new Canterbury Road and Marrickville Road. The Light Rail service that runs from Central Station is being extended all the way to Dulwich Hill by way of a disused freight rail line. The suburb is also well connected by bus.

Along with many Inner West suburbs, Dulwich Hill is an up and coming area that now attracts young professionals and families. The housing is a mixture of units, semis and larger freestanding homes. The most sought after area of Dulwich Hill is the Abergeldie Estate which is named after the former Abergeldie House and contains fine examples of 1920s and 1930s detached residences.
