Mortlake is in Sydney’s Inner West and forms part of the City of Canada Bay local government area. It is located approximately 17km to the west of the Sydney Cbd.

Sitting on the southern side of the Parramatta River, Mortlake is home to the Mortlake Ferry or “Putney Punt” as it is commonly known. This is the last surviving punt service in Sydney.

Mortlake was the former home of the Australian Gas Light Company (AGL) which has been redeveloped into the neighbouring Breakfast Point development.

Today Mortlake is a small residential suburb that contains a variety of modern units and townhouses along with older freestanding cottages and bungalows.
